*Cough cough*

My baby is sick for the first time in his life.  He has a double ear infection and a terrible cough.  It's a helpless feeling when your baby's sick.  I'm just giving him his medicine and loving on him and praying for God to heal him quickly.  He's is such wonderful spirits, though.  He's not been fussy once.  Such a good little boy...

Showings galore

We've had three showings in the past week.  Two for the same couple.  They're definitely interested, but haven't yet decided between this house and another.  It's nice to see things picking up again.  Jim's on an extended trip to Colorado, so I'm packing up as much of the house as possible.  As soon as he gets back from this trip, his boss is going to fly us down to find a place to live.  It would be pretty cool if our house had a buyer by that time; we'd be free to do whatever we wanted in that case.  Meanwhile, I'm packing as much as possible.  I told Jim that he might come home to a house full of boxes.  I think he's OK with it.  We're both getting excited about the move.  

And while we're on the subject...

Jim and I have decided that we're not going to compromise with our next place.  If we're going to buy something again, we're both going to get what we want...if possible.  I want white moulding in the interior, and a separate living area for the dogs (Louisiana doesn't have basements, being swampland, so we're talking a screened-in porch or something like that), and Jim wants plenty of storage and a place for all three cars and the trailer on our property.  We've already seen two places like that in the online listings, so it's possible.  It will be fun going down in a few weeks to try and find something.

In the meantime...anybody want to help me pack?
