Flopping around in two inches of water like a dying fish is not a good way to start your day...
So Jim and I are remodeling the front bathroom of my parents' house, but it is taking more than just the two days I originally hoped for. We're on track to be putting the finishing touches on Thursday, but yesterday morning was definately interesting...
I woke up around 5:30, sick to my colon. No biggie. But I had to go to the back bathroom since the toilet that belongs in the front bathroom is on our front porch, and let's face it-that would just be awkward. So I went back there, and, after a few painful minutes, was able to go back to bed. My alarm was set to go off at 6:00am. It did. I shut it off. I woke up around 7:00 am. I had a meeting at 7:30. I hadn't showered in three days (why bother when you're just getting dirty again, right?) I HAD to bathe my body. So I went back to the back bathroom, forgetting that the knobs don't always work right, and tried to turn the shower on. Well, the stream got to about a "fast pee". Frustrated and in a HUGE hurry, I jumped in and stood under the stream. My thoughts at that moment? "I sweat more than this". So I turned the knob fully back to bath and proceeded to fill the tub about 2 inches. I soaped up and rinsed in record time (this is where the flopping around comes in). This included washing my hair with a 2-in-1. I got back to my room, dressed, put on deodorant, scrunched my hair with gel, grabbed my concealer and mascara, and was out the door.
I clocked in at 7:31. Thank you very much.
