Living is bad for my face

I went to the dermatologist for the first time recently. I was there to get a little skin tag removed, but while I was there, I thought I might as well ask about my complexion. As most of you know, I am Irish, and have always attributed the redness in my face to that heritage. The thing is, it's been getting worse. So after about 27 seconds of being way too close to my face, the dermatologist informed me that I have Rosacea.

Oh goody.

There are three main treatment methods. The first is to avoid things that cause it to "flare up". He said that the three main things that cause flare-ups are heat, stress, and caffeine. Well, that just won't do. I drink caffeine to deal with the stress of the heat. He gave me a sheet with lists of "don'ts" as I was leaving. Among the list of things to avoid are extreme heat, humidity, cold, stress, exercise, alcoholic beverages, caffeinated beverages, hot beverages, and about every food I eat on a daily basis. So basically life.

Life is hurting my face.

On to option two: creams. I have only tried one so far, and it turned my face a lovely shade of lobster. No thank you. There are several to try. I am apparently in guinea-pig mode until I find something that works, because the third option is taking a pill, and the possible side-effects would NEVER be worth it to me. biggie. This is why God created make-up. Besides, it's not my fault...I'm Irish.
