Oh, what a difference a month (or two) makes...

We've been living here for a year come March. It's cliche to say, but it really is hard to believe it's been that long already. It was VERY rough in the beginning. I dealt with a lot of anxiety and restlessness and even a little depression. The two decisions that really booted me out of it were 1. joining the mom & toddler group, and 2. adopting out our puppies...a decision that still hurts to this day. But because of those two decisions, I've made friends...a challenge in and of itself for an introvert, and our house is...clean. Our carpet is clean and piss-free, and we just bought our first new couch ever.

The changes in the past few months have really freed us up in so many ways; we can travel more easily, the house is easier to keep clean, we can have people over - as a matter of fact, I'm hosting my first play date for my group one week from today!! I'm so excited to have people over and it be an enjoyable experience and not a stressful one.

As for the dogs, we still have Sammi (and are probably keeping her), but she's really well behaved and other than shedding, very clean. We've tried finding her a new home, but it just seems like all the doors are closing in that area. Maybe we're meant to keep her. We can take one dog when traveling pretty easily, and already have once. We've gotten rave reviews from the new parents of our other pups, Bo and Shiloh. It's great to hear they're doing well and are really happy, but I still try not to think about it too much.

All in all, life is very different from a year ago this time, but still very good. God is very good. And so faithful.

We have one more great piece of news, but I'm going to reveal that next week on my facebook. And NO, Mama Martz, I'm NOT pregnant.
