So...yeah...
We switched from cable internet to dial up. It's really not that much slower, and we went from $45.99 a month to $9.95. It's worth it to me :)

And speaking of switches...
I switched from a full-size bed to a twin. My room looks huuuuge now.

OK, I must shower and get ready for work now...more later ;)

I love this song...
"I Need a Hero" by Chris Rice

" I need a hero
Who'll dare to find me
Fly to my rescue
And crash through the wall
Announce my freedom
Bring me to my senses
Gather me into His strong arms
And carry me off. . . to safety"

I think I'm going to go listen to it now...

I am buff.
OK, not really. But I am sore. And slightly scraped up on my legs. I carried 30 12-inch square cement blocks and arranged them into a walkway in part of Jim's backyeard while helping him yesterday. I think they weigh about 25 lbs a piece. That's 750 lbs. Oh yeah...

Don't have sex on me.
Yeah, and I had a little issue with these two flies that thought it was mating season that kept landing on me while I was transporting these blocks...

And I have to mention...
What my boss said to my co-worker the other day:
"Well aren't you a smart little turd. Who shit you?"

I laughed. A lot.

This is why I don't try new things.
So I decided to try something new with my hair. Instead of blow-drying it straight, I used gel and hair spray to bring out it's natural wave. Then I took a bandana and folded it to use as a kind of head-band. The following conversation resulted at work:

Me: I was trying to look cute like Sarah but instead I look like Axl Rose.
Sarah: You're much prettier than him.
Me: That doesn't take much.

Did I mention that Jim was chasing me around his house offering to give me a dollar if I would sing the first few lines to "Paradise City"? Whatever. I wouldn't embarrass myself like that.

It would take at least $20.00.

Advice
If you are ever hungry and want a vegetable of some sort, I highly advise against eating more than half of a can of corn in one sitting.

Trust me on this.

I see...
So the way to get lots of comments on your post is to mention nipples. Got it.

I just got off work 2 hours early. Apparently I work too fast. I remember a temp job I had a couple of summers ago; it was supposed to take three days and I got it done in 1 1/2. It doesn't seem fair that my reward for being a fast worker is less pay. Hmm...

Aufwiedersehen...
Well, tomorrow Nolynn flies (and moves) to California. His flight is at 6:15pm. I'm driving him to the airport; I think Allison's coming to see him off too. And then I'm meeting Aimee for coffee.

Mmmm...coffee...

Jim and Josh have other plans tomorrow night-a Dream Theater show. I was jealous until Jim found out that Dream Theater will be in Germany at the same time as us. We'll get to see an almost 4 hour long show there. SO yeah...not so much jealous anymore...

Speaking of Germany, the trip has been delayed, due to my lack of funds. It is now scheduled for mid-October. But it's cool. The fact that I get to go at all is amazing to me...

Ok, that's all for now. Nothing spark a comment? Here you go: nipples.

This day off thing rocks.
Have I said that before? It does.

What the crap ever
I am so tired of stupid people who want to make money at other people's expense. Oh yeah, I really believe people who publicly admit that they're shopping for a book deal...

Disclaimer: girl-talk
So I went to Victoria's Secret today to do my bi-annual new bra purchase. I actually need them now, though. I've lost 20 lbs and dropped a cup size. And of course, I just had to get some new underwear and some vanilla body spray. I bought 2 of the new t-shirt bras they've been advertising. Me likey. A lot.

My experience in the store:
Me: (walks in)
Sales woman: "Can I show you our new IPEX line today?"
Me: "Sure."
Sales woman: (showing me the bra) "As you can see, they are lightly lined, with no seams, very soft, and more insulated in the center so that you can have maximum nipple coverage."
Me: (thinking "please don't talk to strangers about their nipples. thank you.")

This was after I got measured to make sure of my actual size and she accosted me with her tape measurer.

I wonder if there is a support group for this...

The Elephant-Dog (you know, like The Elephant-Man...)
Jim and I were watching t.v. at his place the other night, when Sammi Jo (his German shepherd mix) walked into the living room looking very...wtf-ish. Her eyes were swollen almost all of the way shut, and her lips were puffed up to about twice their normal size. It was weeeeeird. Luckily for both of us, one of my co-workers is also an emergency vet-tech. I called her and she told me it was probably a bug-bite or sting of some sort, and gave me the number for the emergency animal hospital. I called them and they told us to give her Benadryl. It took three doses, but by last night she was almost totally back to normal.

Parteee
Jim and I are off to the O'Maleys' place tonight to stay up way too late, eat too much junk food, and play a rediculous amount of Skip-Bo and Trivial Pursuit.

We are nerds, and we are proud.

12 days...
The countdown has begun. 12 days until I break my contract with SucksPCS. I cannot wait. I truly despise that company. *smiles like the Grinch*

And while we're on countdowns...
God willing, if a couple of things happen the way they should, I'll be on my way to England and Germany in 23 days. EEEEE!

Ok, I'm off to play with my new toy.

Days off rock.

Holy crap.
I almost died. Ok, not really, but I almost peed. As my daddy and I were just driving down 4th street, one of those transformers that stick up out of the ground by the side of the road exploded right as we drove by it. It was a huge blue flash. And very loud. I thought something had blown up on the truck. But dad saw the debris and told me what it was. Wow. Not fun.

47 years
That's how long my parents have been married as of yesterday. Frickin amazing...

Oh yeah, and I bought (a.k.a. financed) a certain something this past Sunday.

I am incredibly excited.
