Nausea
Yesterday, while we were relaxing, Bogart suddenly got up and started wandering around. I couldn't figure out why he was so restless until he paused in the corner and vomited. A LOT. It was then my lovely responsibility to clean it up. I recognized the following things:
-paper towels
-a bar of soap
-a whole chicken bone
-one of Nolynn's colorful rubber bouncing balls
-some kind of meat
-pieces of some bread-like substance
-regular dog stuff-food, treats

He was one sick puppy. I bet he felt amazingly better after getting all of that stuff out. We have to watch him like a hawk. As you can see, he'll eat anything. And boxers have really sensitive stomachs. I normally have a strong stomach, but cleaning that up was definately a test.

So...I promised to revive the RTQ (Random Tuesday Question for those of you with bad memories or that just didn't care enough to remember), so here you go.

9/27/05 RTQ: What is the most disgusting thing you've ever witnessed or had to clean up? Place your answer in the comments.

Excuse me?
So my favorite part of photographing Anna's wedding this past weekend was when Pastor Jeff was talking to Ben about his interests during the ceremony and said "Gamepube" instead of "Gamecube". Yes I laughed. As did pretty much everyone my age in the crowd. Thank you Beavis and Butthead.

Boredom = destruction.
Jim is in Colorado until Thursday for work - his annual review and planning a huge presentation he's doing part of in Peoria two weeks from today and tomorrow. The only problem with this is that I have today and tomorrow off from work, and must keep my mind occupied or it will turn against me. So goes life with Adult ADD. So last night I came home after dropping him off at the airport and ripped all of the carpet out of my room. I might just paint the entire thing today and tomorrow. After ripping down the wallpaper and border, that is. We'll see. I might get distracted by something else.

And speaking of Germany...
Okay, so I wasn't, but I will now. The trip is on. Two weeks from this Thursday (that's October 13th, also Yom Kippur for my Jewish readers), Jim and I are going to Europe. First we hit London for a few days, and then Germany (flying into Berlin) for the remainder of the trip. We'll be back on Friday, October 21st. I'm really excited and a little scared. Those of you that are of the praying nature, I would appreciate it a whole lot. Both for safety on the flights AND in the public transportation in London. I'm SO very thankful for this opportunity to travel overseas. I've never been off of this continent.

It's weird for me to think that in less than two weeks, Jim and I will have been together for a year. I know that a year is just a spit in the bucket for a lot of people, but it's really significant to me. You're right, Allison. Being in love with your best friend is the best thing this world has to offer. Except for maybe making love to your best friend. I have yet to experience that, but it's worth the wait :)

Random Tuesday Revival
I'm reviving the RTQ. I miss it. RTQ will start anew as of tomorrow. Spread the word, kids.

Stay calm...
Yesterday this man walked into the shop to have a few things framed. No problem. I'm doing the layout, all the while thinking, "hmm...he looks familiar...how do I know him?" He's kind of shifty-eyed, with a little bit of a twitch. And then he gives me his name. And it hits me. Oh my God. He used to be my GYNECOLOGIST. I only went to him a couple of times, but still. I suddenly started guarding my speech, making sure I didn't say anything that would make him recognize me as a former patient. Like he actually would. Luckily, he left without incident.

I don't know. It was just uncomfortable. All I know is that for some reason I really had to pee once he left...

Rant
I am mentally tired.

I've had to pee a lot today. About 7 times so far.

I have been eating continuously all day. No, I'm not pregnant; that requires sex. Or so I've been told.

I have to open at work tomorrow. That means getting up at 6am. Puke.

I've been biting my nails for the past few days and don't know why. I haven't since high school.

I'm hungry. Again.

I have to go get ready to meet Jim. (Always the bright spot in my day :)

I'm going now. G'bye.

AAAARGH
So the parents-meet-the-parents barbeque is being put off for one week. So what's the big deal, you ask? This is seriously the fifth time. Everytime I actually tell my parents a day and time, I have to come back the next day and say, "uuum, actually it's being delayed one week". I'm like the-girl-who-cried-cookout.

Grr.

At any rate, the electrical got finished yesterday (it involves eight wires and is very intricate). And Jim finishes the sprinkler system Thursday, and the sod gets delivered Friday morning. SO basically what I'm saying is that I'm going to need some pool whores very soon. You know who you are...(hey Aimee, I'll provide Red Bull...)

Just so you know...
It is impossible to sleep past 7 o'clock in the morning when you have a boxer that doesn't want you to.

Thank GOD
The backyard project at Jim's is almost done. The sod should be going down Friday. There will be little details to finish up, but everything major will be done. By the time it is finished it will have been about three months total working on weekends and the occasional day off. Almost immediately following (this Sunday) we're having a cookout there for the parents-his and mine. It's the whole parents-meet-the-parents thing. (Duh duh duuuuuuuh...just kidding) It's been almost a year; it' probably about time :)

And about being insensitive...
I was driving home from work yesterday and noticed a kid probably 8 years old just sitting on his bike on the sidewalk. Just sitting there. Not moving at all. Until right as I drove by when he suddenly just fell sideways off of the bike and it fell on top of him. OK, I probably shouldn't have laughed, but you would have too. I wonder if this kid has problems standing as well...

OK, I'm off to go do something yet to be determined. Happy Tuesday, people.

Happy 27th, Jim!!!!!!!!!!! I hope your day is truly wonderful. And I can't wait to see you tonite and give you a huuuuuuuuuge birthday hug!

I already gave him his gift-three framed pics-one black and white each of Shiloh, Sammi, and Bogart. They look cool on his wall :)

Ok, I must get ready for work now...

New stuff
I tend to buy clothes based on need and not want. This is exacty why I was THRILLED yesterday when (because I've lost weight) Jim bought me a new pair of jeans. I only have one pair, but it's too big now. So we went to Old Navy and he bought me a new pair. While there, I bought two new shirts (well, Jim paid for them but I'm paying him back) for five bucks a piece (gotta love labor-day sales).

This is the part where I get giddy. My old jeans size was 12. What size am I now? EIGHT. That's right kids, I'm into the single digit sizes. My goal is a size six. I think I can make it. The thing is, I'm at a plateau weight (144-ish). I can't really get any thinner unless I start an excersize regimen. I'm working on it...

Here's the progress thus far:
Pants: Old size-12 New size-8
Shirts: Old size-L or M New size-S or XS
Bras: Old size-36C New size-34B

Weight loss is fun...

And now about something I can't stand
Spiders. I severly dislike them. And Jim has a bunch of them around his house. Big scary country-size ones. I guess that's what he gets for buying a house that is technically in the county. They're just disturbing. And that whole thing about them being "more scared of us" is bull. I've already seen one wolf-spider charge Jim.

I don't want to think about it anymore...ew ew ew...

Sick as a dog...literally...
Bogart is sick. With flu symptoms. I'm getting ready to call the vet now to see if there's anything I can do for my baby...I hope he gets better soon...*sniff*

...Welp, I'm off to do laundry and other "day off" things...like maybe wash my car...hmm...
